Alexia "Alex" Forlan was the wife of S.A.B.R.E. Force Commander Frank Forlan.[1]
Biography
The Break Up
Some time before Frank Forlan's promotion to Commander of the S.A.B.R.E Force unit, Alexia decides to end her relationship with her husband. Frustrated with his behavior, Alexia claims to have dedicated herself more to their relationship without ever asking for much in return. Frank calls her selfish for abandoning him, citing that if she leaves she'll ruin his career as an enforcer.
Alexia believes his objection has more to do with her position as a trophy wife than mutual affection. As she walks out, he tosses a empty bottle that smashes a mirror next to her. Angered by his actions she leaves and ignores him as he calls her name.
S.A.B.R.E Force units under Forlan's command speculated Alexia left because of Forlan's poor temper and insinuate she was involved in a relationship with another man.[2]
On the day of his promotion, Forlan calls Alexia and demands that he needs her to appear for his swearing in at the courthouse. Despite their misgivings, Alexia obliges Frolan's request and goes to meet him in his office. When she arrives with Sergerant Vaughn, she finds Forlan dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
Forlan's Memory
On assignment from Edge, Memory hunter, Nilin Cartier-Wells was ordered to remix Forlan's memory. The objective was make him believe he killed Alexia during the fight that led to their break up. In the first attempt, Nilin knocks the bottle of alcohol from the table so that Forlan can't throw it at her and retracts the side table to prevent a Memory Bug of Frank cracking his head.
Alexia mocks Frank for his drunkenness and calls his bluff with the gun when she grabs the nose of the gun and aims it at her chest. The gun fails to go off. Taking the gun from his hand, Alexia tells him she's done pretending and leaves their home.
In Nilin's second attempt, however, she removes the safety from the weapon. When Alexia calls Frank's bluff in the revised remix the gun goes off and he shoots her in the chest. Believing he's killed Alexia and that the men that are to escourt him to the courthouse are actually taking him to his trial, he apologies to the photograph of him and wife together and shoots himself in the head.[1]

- Both 2012 Gamescom demo and Episode 4 states that Forlan and Alexia's break up occurs four days before Nilin's capture and arrest. Only the demo specifies the exact time (8:52pm)[2].
