DONTNOD Entertainment's Pax East Panel at the Dragonfly Theater was yesterday (March 6, 2015). Their panel was from 1:00PM to 2:00PM[1], and word in the gaming street is that revealed a nice tease for the upcoming episode, "Out of Time" with a hands-on preview of the episode and, particularly, this image of Max and an old friend:
This was gamecrate.com's description of their hands-on preview[2]:
“ | In a hands off preview at PAX East, we got a quick look at episode two of Life is Strange and how your choices will affect the outcome of the story. While the first episode of the game pretty much stayed around the lighthouse, Max’s school, and Chloe’s house, in episode two, we get to explore more of the town of Arcadia.
The scene we were shown, after Max takes a bus ride into town, took place in the restaurant where Chloe’s mother works. You get to know some of the locals; a police officer, a trucker, a couple of local teenagers are all in the building, along with different flyers and posters that you can look at and glean information about what type of town Arcadia is. After a conversation with Chloe’s mom, Chloe shows up. It’s the day after episode one (there’s a total of five episodes, each representing a consecutive day of the same week) and Chloe wants Max to show her more of her “power of prediction.” Max obliges by using her “butterfly effect” to see what’s in Chloe’s pockets and then predicts stuff that’s going to happen in the restaurant. That’s pretty much all we were shown in the preview, so as not to give away the rest of the story, but the fact remains that your choices from episode one, carry over to episode two and the rest of the episodes and you can tell int he conversations you have with both Chloe and her mother. |

Additionally:
- DONTNOD continues to stress that the second episode being delayed was false. They're merely waiting for approval to release it.[2]
- Scott Blows, DONTNOD's community manager was also present at Pax East as well.[3]
- Over a 100 different names were considered for Life Is Strange, What If? being chief among them. The latter name was not chosen because a film starring Daniel Radcliffe had been released prior to the game.[4]
